Shri Anupam Mukhopadhyay
CEO
Shri Anupam Mukhopadhyay took charge as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in Bengal Gas Company Limited (BGCL) w.e.f. 16 th January 2024. He has been graduated as Electrical Engineer from IIT, Kharagpur, India’s Prestigious Engineering Institute.
He has rich and diverse experience encompassing more than 33 and Half years in the Oil & Gas Sector with a special aptitude in Digital Transformation, Analytics and Process Improvement. Before Joining BGCL, he was Managing Director in Aavantika Gas Limited. Aavantika Gas Limited is a joint venture of GAIL (India) Limited & HPCL meant for City Gas Distribution in Madhya Pradesh.
Under his leadership, Aavantika Gas Limited has started H2 blending in CGD Network and Biogas consumption through cascade and PNG Network. Prior to this, he has served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of GAIL Gas Limited,a wholly owned subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited, engaged in the City Gas Distribution Business.
Prior to this assignment, he has served in the National Gas Management Centre of GAIL India Limited located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh which is responsible for coordinating pan India commercial transaction for Gas trading and gas transmission business.
Presently, Shri Anupam Mukhopadhyay is Executive Director - CGD (MKTG) in GAIL (India) Limited and is currently Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in BGCL.
Shri Arijit Banik
Chief Financial Officer
Shri Arijit Banik is a post graduate in Commerce , Associated Member of Institute of Cost Accountants of India and Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has rich experience of more than 25 years of working in all facets of Finance , Accounting and Cost and Management Accountancy. He has worked in different industries covering Consultancy, Telecom prior to Joining GAIL (India) Limited.
Shri Banik has joined GAIL (India) Limited in 2006 and has the experience of budgeting, Procurement, INDAS, Project Finance and Accounting, Treasury, Taxation, Debtor’s Management , Consolidation etc under SAP environment in different units of GAIL (India) Ltd. He worked in Gail Gas Limited , a wholly owned Subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited for four years in Project Finance and Central Fianance. Prior to joining Bengal Gas Company Limited, as CFO, he was associated with Project Finance & Accounts of JHBDPL , Barauni Guwajhati Pipe Line, Dhamra Haldia Pipeline - West Bengal Section, for four years and has contributed for construction of the pipe line.
Er. Biswajit Debbarma,
Head (Marketing & Commercial),
Sh. Biswajit Debbarma, is a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering, from North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Deemed University, Nirjuly, Itanagar Arunachal Pradesh. Having more than 26 years of experience in managing infrastructure Projects - Conceptualization to Closure. Expertise in Contract Management, Conflict resolution, Negotiation & innovative Project monitoring techniques in Projects as well as Operation & Maintenance of LPG Recovery Process plants MP & Assam. He has served in various leadership positions by heading GAIL’s Tripura and Assam Region Network and gas sales by both the unit as Officer- In - Charge. He has Certification in “Projects Management” from IPMA (International Project Management Association).
He has joined GAIL in the year 1996 and since then was associated with many prestigious Projects in diverse fields: Gas Pipelines, CGD Projects, LNG Terminal, Gas Processing Plants (LPG recovery Plant, Lakwa Assam), Renewable Energy (Wind and Solar) etc. with active involvement in all stages of Project Execution i.e. “Conceptualization” execution, monitoring to “Close-Out”. He was also a team member for Project Monitoring and Control mechanism and Implementing various Pro-active Governance mechanisms for effective planning & monitoring of Projects.
Before joining as Head (Marketing and Commercial) in Bengal Gas Company Limited, Mr Debbarma was responsible for heading the GAIL Agartala and Assam Unit’s Operation and Maintenance including Gas sales activities for North Easter Region.
Mr. Sandip Mondal,
Head (Projects),
Mr.Sandip Mondal is a Mechanical Engineer having BE (Mech) degree from Jadavpur University Kolkata, passed out in 1997. He has developed leadership skills through Management Development Programmes at IIM Kolkata and IIM Lucknow.
Mr. Sandip Mondal has 25 years of experience in Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals Industry with GAIL (India) Limited in different functions as per organizational assignments. He was involved in commissioning of Gas Processing Unit and Downstream Polymer units of GAIL Petrochemical Complex at Pata, Uttar Pradesh. He is having more than 16 years of experience in Mechanical Maintenance of Petrochemical Plant and Project Execution of pipelines.
Prior to joining Bengal Gas Company Limited as Head (Projects), he was heading Sales and Marketing team of GAIL (India) Limited in Eastern Region for Petrochemical Products.
Shri Tapan Kumar De
HOD (HR)
Shri Tapan Kumar De has a B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering, passed in 1991 from the University of Calcutta & Post Graduate Diploma in Personal Management, passed in 2014 from National Institute of Personal Management (NIPM), Kolkata.
Shri Tapan Kumar De has total 27 yrs of work experience in Gas based Fertilizer Plant, Gas Processing Unit & HR department. He has 05 years experience in Gas based Fertiliser Plant at Indo Gulf Fertiliser Plant at Jagdispur (U.P). Shri De joined GAIL (India) Limited in June,1997. He has 09 yrs work experience in Gas processing Unit including commissioning at UP Petrochemical Complex of GAIL (India) Limited at Pata in UP & has 12 yrs work experience as HR In-charge at Zonal Marketing office of GAIL (India) Limited at Kolkata.
He is a Life Member of Nation Institute of Personal Management at Kolkata.
Presently Shri De is working as Head of HR Department of Bengal Gas Company Limited (BGCL) at Kolkata.
Shri Partha Pratim Ghosh
Head (Corporate Affairs & Coordination)
Shri Partha Pratim Ghosh is a Mechanical Engineer having Bachelor of Engineering from Govt Engineering College, Jalpaiguri. He also acquired Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (equivalent to M B A) in Financial Management from Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management.
Shri Partha Pratim Ghosh has about 28 years of vast experience in Gas Marketing and in Gas sales and had major contribution in the fields of marketing of coal gas, development of new consumers, business development in Industrial, Commercial and Domestic sectors. He also contributed in cost estimation, contract & tendering, scheduling of work etc for various projects & maintenance work related to gas transmission pipeline and gas storage tanks in GCGSCL.
He is member of number of professional bodies and also have various publications in his name relating to Gas Distribution and Valuation.
Prior to joining in BGCL as Head (Corporate Affairs & Coordination), he was with Greater Calcutta Gas Supply Corporation Limited the oldest and 1st CGD company of India.
